God’s temple is his house, his dwelling place, the place of his manifestation, God no longer live in a house made with hands as in the days of old when he dwelled in the tabernacle of Moses or in the tabernacle of David or even the temple of Solomon or the temple of Zerubabel. Ye are the temple of the Holy Spirit.
“What? know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost [which is] in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own? For ye are bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God’s.” I Cor 6;19 -20
Today, millions of dollars are being spent in different places by religious organizations to build and to maintain the Physical building where God no longer dwells while little attention, little investment and little understanding exist about this temple called “The new creation man”
The ultimate temple of God is man as it is written in the book of revelation and God will dwell in no other place except in the heart of his people who are now growing to become a new habitation of God in the spirit.
“Know ye not that ye are the temple of God, and [that] the Spirit of God dwelleth in you? {3:17} If any man defile the temple of God, him shall God destroy; for the temple of God is holy, which [temple] ye are.” I Cor 3; 16 -17
Characteristics of God’s temple.
The house of man depicts all that the man represents and not another. God’s house is the place where his Spirit has pre-eminence where Christ is LORD. It is the realm of his dominion, his Kingdom where he is given the FIRST PLACE IN ALL THINGS. It is all about him, the song is about him, the attitude is about what pleases him, “the operative way” here is all about his ways and his will. There, in his temple, it is not about the WHIMS and CAPRICES of man, it is not about man’s wisdom, smartness, ingenuity bur about the COUNSEL of GOD's WILL.
“And I heard a great voice out of heaven saying, Behold, the tabernacle of God [is] with men, and he will dwell with them, and they shall be his people, and God himself shall be with them, [and be] their God. {21:4} And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away. {21:5} and he that sat upon the throne said, Behold, I make all things new.”
Rev 21; 3
Here in his temple, it is all about the manifestation of a new life in Christ; it is here that the Father by His Spirit reveals Christ and not fleshy activity. Jesus said to Peter
“Flesh and Blood has not revealed this to you but my father in heaven.”
The end result of the dominion and Lordship of Christ in his temple is the manifestation of his unspeakable and eternal weight of Glory. The system or life where the glory is removed is “ICHABOD” which is the abomination that brings desolation as in the days of ELI when the glory departed from Israel and the priesthood was taken away from the house of Eli with the resultant defeat of Israel before their enemies.
THE ABOMINATION
It is possible in the physical where the owner of the house becomes a stranger in his house; it is possible for a man to be taken captive in his house. It is possible for invaders to invade a man’s house or Kingdom and overthrow him from his territory. This change of government could happen gradually, cleverly and unnoticeably but could also be sudden and violent. The parallel that we see today in the Church is a gradual, clever coup. The law of God is now mixed with falsehood as men now promote the tradition of men and the words of men above the living words of God. The object of worship has changed from God to gifts, to Charisma and wealth although we still quote the bible and still pay lip worship to God. The “true Lord” has now been ignored as men now” call the shots” in the LORD”S HOUSE disregarding the owner of the temple who has redeemed us
“so that he as God sits in the temple of God, showing himself that he is God.”
2Thess 2:4
Church movements were born by the Holy Spirit through powerful revelation of Christ and his purpose with mighty release of his glory and power. God was glorified in the mist of the saints delivering men from soul bondage and carnal appetites releasing them to walk in the spirit following the dictates of the spirit under the leadership of the Holy Spirit.
In the mist of these moves, we see men transformed from ordinary natural and sensual men into spiritual men, becoming more and more conformed to the likeness and image of Christ demonstrating the fruits of the Holy Spirit which is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, meekness, and temperance. This is the path to the fullness of Christ spoken in Ephesian 3; 19
“And to know the love of Christ, which passeth knowledge, that ye might be filled with all the fulness of God.”
But then an ABOMINATION was triggered off by men who secretly crept in unawares turning the grace of God into lasciviousness, replacing the praise of God with the praise of man, exchanging the lordship of Christ for the LORDSHIP of man (self). The gospel of money and materialism replaced the gospel of the Kingdom, love give way to lust for things and the wisdom of man, scheming and manipulation took the place of divine wisdom, motivation message replaced voices from heaven, live giving messages and prophesies. Personality worship took over the worship of God. Officialdom, dogmas and stories replaced revelation, technology cover up for absence of the gift of the spirit and the ambition of men replaced the will of God. What an abomination? Spiritual men were replaced with soulish men and the engine of leadership becomes the soul. Man has fallen again into the outer court. Man continues to grope in darkness outside the garden instead of ascending higher into the holiest of all through continuous feeding on the true bread and the true wine designed for the spiritual man which is the revelation of Christ. This is the abomination and the consequent is desolation which is already breaking in
The call
The call therefore is for us to awake and return to where we have fallen. The call is for men to move back into the place of the candlestick and beyond into the fullness of God. We must repent and return from our ways lest we perish. The call is for those on the ground floor to flee to the housetop and those on the plain to flee to the mountain top.
The mountain is a place of revelation of Christ where the pattern son is unveiled and revealed for us to follow in his step. We must therefore lay aside every weight and sin that easily beset us and RUN with patience the race that is set for us looking unto Jesus, the Author and the finisher of our faith.
