This is brother Sam Oyelese whom I first got to know about through the ministry of brother Ernest Paul, in Let the Artists Prophesy (2011, I think). In my opinion, his prophetic depth, insight, acumen into the eternal purpose of God playing out in time in different dispensational moves is unparalleled in this country. He has a way with the scriptures, particularly the O.T and its relation to ultimate redemption.
In 2012, i together with friends like Oladimeji Elugbadebo, Oluwafemi Bello and others hosted him in Ibadan for a 2 day meeting. Then in Oct 2013, we hosted him in our Emerging Leaders Congress. And such a blast it was. He also ministered in our November 2013 edition of The Kingdom Community.
Brother Sam is a man who can engage you on phone for 2 hours. He speaks as though he has been given waiver by MTN. So when its time for me to call him, I make sure I buy N500 credit. And when it finishes, he returns the call and continues for another 45minutes, dissecting truth, line upon line.
I wouldn't call brother Sam a regular church person even though he is the apostolic leader of Church of the Apocalypse. His is a unique Kingdom community not after the conventional church mode. I see his pattern as closest to the organic nature of church of the apostolic era, and he, a travelling, visiting apostle. The Lord has used him to do some profound work and plant such expressions in Lagos, Abuja, Nnewi and Kaduna.
Brother Sam has two books: The Divine Man and Revelation. The former, I think, ran out of circulation while the latter he has been preparing to publish as well as reproduce Divine Man. I hope his legacy can be preserved by getting these two books into public domain - if not in hard copy, at least e-books. Revelation is almost a 600 page expose on the book of Revelation that takes you through each chapter and verse and cones in and out of prophetic books of the O.T. Be warned, his books are solid bone not for those unwilling to have their revelational capacity stretched to breaking point. And characteristic of bone, there are residual particles after grinding and chewing and sucking that you throw away.
How much I wish that the wider church had more of Brother Sam. But the Lord of the House is He who determines what vessel suites what purpose. I discover in my university days that the 100 level lecturers are the ones who "minister" to the crowd. The higher the level, the fewer you, as a lecturer, are more likely to "minister" to. This is frank talk. Brother Sam has a wide network of those who he ministers to that cuts across the continents: Australia, Africa, Europe and the Americas. He was such a silent Kingdom laborer who you would hardly come across making noise on social media like the rest of us. I pray that his ministry will speak even louder and wider in his death than in life. My elder, my brother, my friend, I salute you sir. We will meet in the Kingdom age to continue our discussion on how to domesticate those other planets and stars in the ever expanding universe (or multiverse)!
Kingdom victor!
