It is advisable and highly needful for us all (Nigerians) to undertake intense spiritual checkup after this 2015 Election in order to purge ourselves of anger, bitterness, curses and other deplorable works of the flesh that have manifested and still manifesting during this time. Some have shared false posts, outright lies and fabrication as long as it can damage "our opponent" and promote "our Candidate.
Abusive, argumentative, tribal, religiously discolored , false views have been posted or discussed in other forum because of rabid support for preferred candidates. Some preferences are purely ethic making nonsense of the blood of Jesus that was shared for us and our "hated tribe". All these might have soiled our soul and hence purging might be needful. The enemy through the spirit of Politics, a beastly kind of enemy fueled by the unseen dragon has been allowed to sow leaven in the souls of many believers during this electioneering period.
The spirit of Politics has been given so much room that many were willing to side with Political correctness above Spiritual correctness. Truth and honesty have been severely compromised. Truth has been redefined to only apply to our political preference(s) while falsehood belongs to the other camp. Many have been wounded, relationship soured, leadership denigrated, ethnic division and untold ill activities have become so pronounced that in the days ahead, the chicken might come home to roost. The beast has been allowed to sow its negative seed and the result might be catastrophic.
Many are sad, their heart racing faster than before, sleeplessness, anxiety, fearfulness and other negative mental and bodily condition have become pronounced now. I heard about a highly respectable Preacher in our midst still prophesying that the President Elect will not be sworn in after missing the mark about the winner of the Presidential election. Some are still wishing failure for the incoming government. This is satanic and highly ungodly. Please desist from this. Your soul may have been infected.
Such evil expectation is a sure recipe for diseases and spiritual affliction. Buhari won, please deal with it and move on, don't allow satan build a skyscraper in your soul through bitterness. Let us accept the incoming government as the will of God, to do the opposite is rebellion.
We all need to reflect, check all our posts on the social media and our political discussion and otherwise, whether they actually glorify God or our Political leaning.
We need to also check some of the things we actually prayed for especially political choices that was roundly rejected. Could that be our soulish desire that has lost pace with the accuracy of Holy Spirit? Did we hear God or our flesh?
Let us get back our spiritual axe as the devil might capitalize on this spiritual fault line in the days ahead.
We also need to pray for our nation and the incoming government. It is time for everyone to join hands together in prayer for the incoming government so that the negative powers behind cosmic thrones do not neutralize their good intention. We have seen people make good promises including the outgoing government, only to get there and do something else. Their good intent seated on our heartfelt prayers is the only guarantee for success.
We also need to seek the opinion of others about our conduct during this political season for an honest appraisal.
We need to pray and reed ourselves of this political poison.
